ABOUT ME
THE REASON WHY I GO UNDER THE NAME MY BLACK BOUDOIR
A boudoir (French: [bu.dwaʁ], English: /ˈbuːd.wɑːr/) is a lady's private bedroom, sitting room or dressing room. The term derives from the French verb bouder, meaning "to be sulky" or boudeur, meaning "sulky".
Sometimes people ask me about my blog's name.
It's about fashion, beauty and me.
According to me, the boudoir is the place where women share secrets, where they dress up and make up and where they create their own style.
My boudoir is the place where I share with you fashion secrets, beauty tips and, why not, lessons about style.
Black is my favorite color.
I'm a blackaholic.
A kind of Wednesday Addams dressed in Givenchy and Tom Ford.
I’m kidding but, I could say that I’m gothic inside.
So this is MY BLACK BOUDOIR.
ABOUT FRANCESCA
Fashion is the 'fil rouge' in my life.
Indeed, it is.
If I should tell you when and where this passion of mine originated, we might go on talking long hours without being able to find out a precise moment, a real beginning. It's that I have always had it. It has always been like that, or else I would never have been the child who used to steal her mother's Elle or Vogue to read and collect them, then the girl whose best friend was the newsagent who provided her with the foreign issues of her beloved magazines.
In short, there is nothing to do, everybody has his/her passion, this is mine!
So, when I had to choose a university, as a small genius of strategy, I chose Economics and Management for Art, Culture and Communication. (I have to say that, thanks to university, I have understood at last that, even in fashion, numbers are important and not only when they refer to models' sizes and heights). But, while I was still attending university in Milan, I packed and moved to London. Here I had the once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity: study Fashion Styling at the iconic Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. After that amazing experience, back again in Milan for preparing my degree’s thesis, I’ve enrolled at IED in a Fashion Styling Advanced course for professionals.
And that was just the beginning.
And that was just the beginning.
In short, here I am, since when I’ve been finishing the college, I've worked as a fashion stylist for photo shoots, shows, campaigns, videos and whatever else you could think!
Right now, I'm working in fashion PRs and I love it so much.
My heart belongs to red lipsticks, Audrey Hepburn’s movies, London and to the black colour, of course.

This blog is be about me, what I did as a fashion stylist and what I’ve learned about it and from it. More than that, it's about what I love and what I find inspirational. I’ll tell you everything about my learning experience at Central Saint Martins and at IED, about my works, my beloved beauty products, incredible fashion stories …about me, actually. Because this is me, through what I’m doing, what I know and what I like!
